ISLAMABAD, NOV 2 (DMN) - Opposition demands fresh elections said by Leader of Rehbar Committee Akram Durrani while addressing a news conference on Saturday.

The committee again demanded of the government to announce free and fair elections without any involvement of the Pakistan Army.

He further said the resignation of the prime minister was the main point and opposition will not budge from this demand.

He however hinted at contacts with the government provided they were ready to listen to opposition demands.

He said any action if taken against opposition parties that would be against Constitution, shall be resisted at any cost.

He said the opposition parties’ weighed various options including resignations from the assemblies.

Then shutter down strike all over the country and road blockage across the country was also an option.

He said we are sticking to an agreement made with the administration but the government itself is violating the agreement.

If it continues to do so then we shall also be forced to use our available options.

Akram Durrani further said the government has created hurdles for the people who want to participate in this Azadi march.

He said our workers are coming to Islamabad by foot adding even the hospitals have been directed by the government not to treat dharna people.=DMN
