ISLAMABAD, OCT 26 -  Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Swati has said government was committed to promote and encourage handicrafts industry with a view to projecting true image of Pakistan through these pieces of art.

Azam Swati was speaking on the occasion of a function arranged by Handicrafts Association of Pakistan.

Ambassadors and High Commissioners of various countries attended the event besides the business community.

The minister further while congratulating Fahad Barlas the newly appointed Chairman of the Association said future belonged to the youth that is why the government of PTI was focusing on youth development and entrepreneurship.

Azam Swati said when he belongs to a rich family however he scaled this milestone by starting his job as a sweeper in a departmental store in the United States. He said it is the hard work that wins glory and fame for an individual.

“I strongly believe in this philosophy that is why I now stand out a prominent businessman in the United States”, he added.

He also cited his visit to China where he came across a Chinese minister who offered me to take all technology from us and in return give us what you have.

And he was mentioning the youth of Pakistan, which counts 60 per cent of our population.

He said Imran Khan is worried about business community and there problems. The prime minister genuinely wants to resolve issues of the business community.

He said the real estate community had approached him complaining against CDA for sealing various projects worth billions of rupees.

He said he immediately took the matter to the PM and consequently CDA has been ordered to de-seal all projects by Tuesday.

He assured that the govt will continue to extend maximum possible support to the business community.

He also urged the business community to help govt and come up with suggestions for improving the system.
